Frequently Asked Questions - Balsamic Vinegar
Balsamic vinegar is a type of vinegar made from the white Trebbiano grape, which is cooked and then aged in wooden or barrels up to 12 or 18 years. They are flavored after their aging with natural fruit, herb, or spice. Our balsamic vinegars come from Modena, Italy.
Dark balsamic vinegars are aged in charred wooden barrels, and White balsamic vinegars are not. Dark balsamic vinegars are slightly thicker and sweeter.
We recommend you store your vinegars in the bottles that you purchase from The Tasteful Olive, and keep them in a dark space, away from HEAT, LIGHT, and AIR. You do not need to refrigerate your vinegars.
We recommend you consume your balsamic vinegars within 3-5 years from the date of purchase.
